The Haydn Shaughnessy Gallery is launching its second art show within its Ten Cubed gallery in Second Life next week. Due to open at 1pm EST on 24th April, it'll feature four New York-based artists: Jimmie James, Susan Kaprov, EJ Carr and Jon Coffelt.
The show is called ‘New York Exiles’, with parallel themes of estrangement and beauty. James is contributing graffiti-based acrylics, Kaprov plastic flower scans, Carr pop-fashion photography, and Coffelt is installing a wall of individually designed duct-tape wallets.
Gallery owner Haydn Shaughnessy continues to be enthusiastic about Ten Cubed’s impact:
“It allows us to connect with artists from around the world as well as connecting artists to new audiences. In may ways it is a better form of exhibition than a real life gallery. It’s more flexible, accessible and it’s low on carbon.”
