Comments [0] | 18 June 2008

If you've been to one of our London-based Virtual Worlds Salon events, you'll know they're a great chance to swap ideas, opinions and business cards with fellow virtual worlds industry professionals. Well, now we're going continental, with our first Salon in Berlin on 2nd July.

It’ll take place in the Victoria Bar on Potsdamer Strasse, with sponsorship from Second Interest, sMeet and Twinity, and promises to be a hot event for anyone exploring how virtual worlds are evolving and crossing over with social networking, casual games and MMOs.

Meanwhile, we’ve also confirmed more speakers for our flagship Virtual Worlds Congress and Expo this October, including Dr. James Bower from Numedeon, Tom Standage from The Economist, Steve Prentice from Gartner, Dave Taylor from Imperial College, Jessica Mulligan from ImaginVenture, Professor Richard Bartle from the University of Essex, Raph Koster from AreaA, and philosopher and writer Ren Reynolds.

Sponsors already signed up include Entropia Universe, Forterra, Habbo Hotel, Fatfoogoo, Parature, Iovation, and Yogurt, with more to be announced. For more information on the event, click here.
