Fresbo World virtual world launches in Facebook

There've been a few virtual worlds companies experimenting with Facebook applications, but the latest looks like one of the most appealing. It's called Fresbo World, and with 630 daily active users at the moment, it's definitely under the radar. However, it's well worth a look.

The features are fairly standard - you create an avatar then customise their clothing, while also pimping out their virtual apartment with furniture. There are external rooms to explore, and the ability to interact with other users by chatting, in-world emailing, and setting up a friends list.

Gaming appears to be a big feature too, though. Each avatar’s apartment has a games console, through which they can access games - currently there are three: Boog, Silent Cursor and Dodger. Playing well can earn you points for further customisation. There will also be multiplayer games, and soon an auction system.

“A whole ton of features is in the pipeline and we’re doing an early alpha launch to see how’s the receptivity, gather feedback, as well as load test our servers in an actual environment,” says its creators on the application’s page. It’s certainly one to watch.
